Blogs come and go, although some become almost electronic monuments to places and events. Robert Hawkins enjoyed a motor-cycle tour of Scotland in September 2006 and his photographs and descriptions remain posted here. He maintains that Rhenigidale was one of his favourite places and gives a description about the image, shown above, which arouses similar feelings within many people. This is where the inspirational work of Herbert Gatliff was first realised, in 1962. In many ways the building is a monument to him.
