There is much to learn from community websites. The Nurse’s Cottage on Berneray no longer provides medical facilities, but gives access to local information and historical records. Over the years many people have come and gone from the now causeway-linked island that is part of North Uist. Times and details of the Historical Society’s work are to be found on the appropriate section of the Isle of Berneray’s Community Website and this season’s opening of the Cottage will be on Monday 3 June. Join the many visitors who come and go to this centre of island life that is interesting, informative and inviting.
