The Gatliff Trust is the original Trust founded by Herbert Gatliff (1897-1977) in 1961.\u00a0 Herbert was an early enthusiast for the outdoor movement and youth hostels in the 1930s but his interests are best described as eclectic<\/p>\n
In April 2023 the Gatliff Trust decided to wind up their work, pass all their assets to the Gatliff Hebridean Hostels Trust and seek deregistration.\u00a0 This process is currently on going.<\/p>\n
